Expanding access to adaptive technology is at the heart of SHARE’s service mission. While each person has a unique set of needs and abilities, our clients come to us with the same hope—to achieve more independence and live more fully with SHARE’s help.

From our initial contact with each client, we work one-on-one to fully understand their goals and the physical challenges they face. Next, we determine the assistive technologies that will best meet their needs and provide adaptive controls that will enable the client to use their system independently. Our solutions enable them to perform essential tasks such as communicating with family and caregivers, turning on lights, adjusting beds and thermostats, and operating computers or televisions. Once the assistive technology has been installed in the home or health care setting, our team provides step-by-step training so that all users—clients, family members and caregivers alike—can learn how to use the equipment to its fullest.
